Policy Update : Focus and Scope

We are announcing the latest policy update regarding the Focus and Scope of the Bioactivities journal, a double-blind peer-reviewed journal for research activity on bioactivities of materials or compounds.

Bioactivities welcomes interdisciplinary research across the fields of chemistry, biology, pharmacology, materials science, and related disciplines that contribute to the understanding and application of bioactive substances.

The scope of the Bioactivities includes, but is not limited to:
•⁠ ⁠Bioactivity screening of natural products, synthetic compounds, and nanomaterials;
•⁠ ⁠⁠Pharmacological, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and other biological activities;
•⁠ ⁠⁠Toxicological evaluations and safety assessments;
•⁠ ⁠⁠Structure–activity relationship (SAR) and bioinformatics approaches in bioactive compound analysis;
•⁠ ⁠⁠Applications of bioactive materials in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food, and environmental science.
