Author Guidelines

Manuscripts Submission

Manuscripts and cover letter may be submitted to the Online Journal System (3.2.1.1) at https://submissionpandawainstitute.com/index.php/ansr/index see Tutorial.

Type of Paper

The Appl. Nat. Sci. Rev. is an open-access journal containing systematic reviews, narrative reviews, bibliometric research, and meta-analyses in the areas related to applied and natural sciences.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript should be prepare using common word processor software (e.g. Microsoft-Word ®), prepared in English language, type single column in Times New Roman font with size of 12, space of 1.5, page size of A4,  margins of 2.54 cm.

The submitted manuscript should comprise 2 files:
1. Front Matter: Title, Author list, Affiliation, Acknowledgments, Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest.
2. Anonymous Manuscript: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, References.

General Considerations

Systematic reviews and narrative reviews) manuscripts should comprise:

Front matter: Title, Author list, Affiliations, ORCID Id, Acknowledgments, Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest, Decalration of Generative AI.

Review sections: a literature review organized logically within specific sections and subsections (optional).

Back matter: References.

 

Bibliometric research, and meta-analyses manuscripts should comprise:

Front matter: Title, Author list, Affiliations, ORCID Id, Acknowledgments, Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest, Decalration of Generative AI.

Research manuscript sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions.

Back matter: References.

 

Title

Title information including:

Article title (maximum of 20 words), write in English.

Author name and affiliation, mark with superscript numbering 1,2, etc. of different author affiliations.

Corresponding author, mark with superscript asterisk “*”, this would be used to mark the email address of the corresponding author, above the all author affiliation

Abstract

Abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, methodology, main result and major conclusions. Abstract should not more than 300 words, write in English.

Keywords

Provide 3-8 words, using the same language as abstract. Avoid using multiple concept and plural term (e.d. ‘and’, ‘of’). These keywords will be used for indexing process.

Introduction

State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

Methods

Provide detail of the research method to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should use the same structure as research articles and should ensure they conform to the PRISMA guidelines.

Results and Discussions

Combination of results and discussion section used and should be clear and concise. This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

Conclusions

The main conclusions of the study should be presented in a short Conclusions section.

Acknowledgement

Supporting grant, collaboration or institution can be placed in this section.

Supplementary data

Supporting data / information for online publication can be submitted in separate file of the manuscript.

Figure

Figure artwork (digital photograph, chromatogram, scheme) should be clear with minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Artwork or scheme prepared using Ms Word, Ms Excel or Ms Powerpoint should be saved as tiff or JPG to avoid miss layout. Please put the figures inside the manuscript according to the related text, do not place the figures separately in the last of the manuscript.

Figure caption

Ensure each figure has a caption, place below the figure, center alignment, sentence case and avoid to use the uncommon abbreviation. Use the bold font of the figure caption (e.g Figure 1).

Table

Use horizontal border on the table header and last line, without vertical border. Place the table caption above the table. Footnote (if necessary) should be place below the table, with smaller font size of the table font.

References

Reference citations in the text should be identified by numbers in square brackets. We recommend preparing the references with a bibliography software package, such as Mendeley [https://csl.mendeley.com/styles/578303501/jmans], Zotero [JMANS Citation Style File], or EndNote [JMANS EndNote Style] (Tutorial to Install Citation Style) to avoid typing mistakes and duplicated references.

The entries in the list should be numbered consecutively.
