Article Processing Charge Adjustment

Article processing charge (APC) is required to support journal-related activities. However, due to the high number of submitted manuscripts to the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Sciences recently, we need more journal activities to keep the quality of the journal.

Therefore, the article processing charge for the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Sciences will be increased from USD 200 to USD 400 for each submitted article after March 30th, 2024.

A Change in The Journal Publication Frequency

Due to the increase in the number of submitted manuscripts to the journal, the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science will publish three issues (once in four months) in a year starting from January 2025.

A Change in The Journal Articles' License

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science is an open-access journal published by Pandawa Institute incorporated with Universitas Ma'arif Lampung and the Physical Society of Indonesia. The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA 4.0).

The CC BY SA 4.0 license allows the re-distribution and re-use of a licensed work on the conditions that the creator is appropriately credited and that any derivative work is made available under “the same, similar or a compatible license". Starting from May 23, 2023, the editorial board has adopted the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) for all submitted and published papers to the journal. The CC BY 4.0 license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. This license allows for commercial use.

This change makes our journal an interesting publication forum for researchers. For readers, please kindly read the license terms of the CC BY 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) and see what you can now do with the articles published under this license.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all authors, reviewers, and editors who have contributed to this journal and helped accomplish this achievement.

Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science is Awarded The DOAJ Seal

We are proud to announce that the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science has been awarded the DOAJ Seal for journals with outstanding open-access practice and exceptionally high publishing standards by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

The DOAJ Seal is awarded to journals that demonstrate best practice in open access publishing. Around 10% of journals indexed in DOAJ have been awarded the Seal.

There are seven criteria which a journal must meet to be eligible for the DOAJ Seal. These relate to best practice in long term preservation, use of persistent identifiers, discoverability, reuse policies and authors' rights.

All seven criteria must be met for a journal to be awarded the Seal. Failure to maintain the best practice and standards described in these criteria may lead to removal of the Seal.

Digital preservation (The journal content must be continuously deposited)
Persistent article identifiers (Articles must use persistent article identifiers (DOI))
Metadata supply to DOAJ (Article metadata must be uploaded to DOAJ regularly)
License type (The journal must permit the use of a Creative Commons license that allows the creation of derivative products)
License information in articles (Creative Commons licensing information must be displayed in all full-text article formats)
Copyright and publishing rights (Authors must retain unrestricted copyright and all publishing rights when publishing under any license permitted by the journal)
Self-archiving policy (Authors must be permitted to deposit all versions of their paper in an institutional or subject repository, an embargo not applied)

One of the great strengths of the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science (JMANS) has been the involvement of many of scholars from the fields of biology and environmental sciences; chemistry and material sciences; physical science; and mathematical science on our Editorial Board. Members of the Editorial Board are crucial in facilitating the Editors’ desire to maintain high standards of scholarly excellence in the work we publish, and we are extremely grateful for the invaluable work of our Editorial Board in contributing both to our rigorous peer-review system and to the strategic development of the Journal.

The JMANS undertakes a full review of the membership of its Editorial Board, both to allow time-served members a well-deserved break, and to add new talent driving the development of applied natural science scholarship. We are delighted to announce to the readership of the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science that we have once again been able to add an impressive list of outstanding scholars to our Board, as well as persuade many highly esteemed colleagues to stay with us.

Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science is pleased to announce that we are now listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). You will notice that in addition to simply being listed, J. Multidiscip. Appl. Nat. Sci. articles are also being indexed and presented as a part of the DOAJ database (something that not all journals make available).

The DOAJ “aims to be comprehensive and cover all open access scientific and scholarly journals that use a quality control system to guarantee the content. In short, the DOAJ aims to be THE one stop shop for users of open access journals.” As such it is an important database to be listed in – metadata and other information from the DOAJ flows into a number of secondary databases and so our inclusion is important in ensuring that Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science is appropriately indexed as widely as possible.

Collaboration between Pandawa Institute (JMANS Publisher) and Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC)

Citations are the links that knit together our scientific and cultural knowledge. They are primary data that provide both provenance and an explanation for how we know facts. They allow us to attribute and credit scientific contributions, and they enable the evaluation of research and its impacts. In sum, citations are the most important vehicle for the discovery, dissemination, and evaluation of all scholarly knowledge. Citation data are not usually freely available to access, they are often subject to inconsistent, hard-to-parse licenses, and they are usually not machine-readable.

The aim of this initiative is to promote the availability of data on citations that are structured, separable, and open.

Structured means the data representing each publication and each citation instance are expressed in common, machine-readable formats, and that these data can be accessed programmatically. Separable means the citation instances can be accessed and analyzed without the need to access the source bibliographic products (such as journal articles and books) in which the citations are created. Open means the data are freely accessible and reusable.

Policies Adjusment in the Publication Process

Dear Colleague,

From August 1st, 2021, the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science applied some policies adjustment in the publication process:

The published articles in Vol 1 No 2 (2022) and Vol 2 No 2 will be supported by the publisher (Pandawa Institute) thus no article processing charge will be applied to the authors.
Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science uses a new template for the submitted manuscript.
All accepted manuscripts after the peer-review process will be available soon as "Accepted Manuscript" with an active DOI number.
Replacement of the Suffix DOI of published articles from 10.4735/jmans.v(volume)i(no).article id to 10.4735/jmans.2774-3047.article id

This article has been removed at the request of Mr. Khlewee because as a corresponding author he felt not submitting his manuscript to JMANS and he did not give permission to publish this work which has been copied from his master's thesis. The email address and ORCID that have listed are both incorrect. Start from October 2020, the Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science (JMANS) that has been published by the Pandawa Institute is now in collaboration with the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI).

Key elements of the MoU:

The agreement will run from 2020 to 2025.
JMANS will offer a 50% discount on the Article Processing Charge for PSI active members.
JMANS includes the PSI logo in all publications and promotions.
